Lake Skotha

This lake is considered holy by the local hill giants, who refuse to visit it except during funerals. Whenever one of their number dies, he is placed on a barge that is then set aflame and pushed out onto the water, that his spirit might join his ancestors on the mysterious central island. The giants don’t take kindly to outsiders, but those who enter the lake find its bottom coated in a thick layer of giant bones.
